Let's Talk About Ovulation And Getting Pregnant

If you and your husband have been laying down plans on how to get pregnant quick or how to get pregnant faster for a few weeks now, then it is probably time that you carry out those plans. Now, if you have been doing so already for some time now and you are slowly getting frustrated about this, then take some time to read the discussion that I will be doing in here about ovulation and getting pregnant. I will be giving out some getting pregnant tips in here as well so be sure to pay close attention.

Let us start with ovulation. This basically refers to the time in the menstrual cycle of a woman wherein her reproductive system releases a mature egg cell that will is ready to be fertilized by a sperm cell, which will be coming from a man. The mature egg cell that is released during ovulation usually lasts for 24 hours, which is why timing is considered as something really important if a couple wants to achieve pregnancy. With this given fact, you will also know that ovulation and getting pregnant are really closely related as to the reason that the latter cannot take place without the first one. In addition to this, a woman gets the opportunity to increase her chances of getting pregnant when she schedules sexual intercourse with her partner during her ovulation period. However, pregnancy is still possible 2 to 3 days before and after the ovulation date. This time frame is basically referred to as the fertile window of a woman or the time when she has the highest possibility of getting pregnant. Ovulation takes place in this time frame.

Ovulation and getting pregnant should always be considered closely by couples. Since I have presented to you that the ovulation date or phase of a woman's menstrual cycle is the best time for her to have sex if she wants to get pregnant, the question that will normally come after this is "how will I know the exact date of my ovulation?" You can actually pinpoint your fertile window and ovulation date through some computations. However, before you can do this, you need to take note of the rhythm of your menstrual cycle for a few months and you need to determine the shortest number of days of your cycle as well as its longest number of days. The menstrual cycle should be observed for at least six months. Once you get to determine these two things, you can now proceed with computing your fertile window. You can solve for your fertile window by subtracting 18 days from your shortest menstrual cycle and 11 days from your longest one. The result that you will get from this computation will refer to the start and end of your fertile window.  When you get to determine this, be sure to set a reminder on your cell phone or mark dates on your calendar so that you will know the best time for you to have sexual intercourse with your partner.
